Beekeeping Classes 

If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a beekeeper, we offer beekeeping classes: Beginning and Intermediate. These classes cover basic beekeeping skills to help a 0-4 year beekeeper understand the workings of their hive better.

Beginning Class

This class covers basic beginning beekeeping skills:  Honey bee anatomy, jobs, and life cycle. We discuss beekeeping jobs, bee hive types, importance of bees, beekeeping tools, and how to extract honey. This class is for people who are interesting in beekeeping and have not owned a hive before.

Intermediate Class

This class covers intermediate beekeeping skills:  Swarm prevention and removal, splitting a beehive, disease prevention, hive aggressiveness, and honey extraction. Weather permitting, visit hives at Creek House Honey Farm.​This class is for beekeepers in years 2-3.
